The Marubi National Museum of Photography in Shkodër preserves the largest historical photo archive in Albania, with images dating from the 1850s to the present day. The collection was started by Italian photographer Pietro Marubi and continued by several generations of the Marubi family, documenting everyday life, personalities and historical events.
