The Ethnographic Museum of Berat is located inside an 18th-century Ottoman-style house that once belonged to a wealthy local family. The museum reflects the daily life, customs, craftsmanship and traditions of Berat during past centuries.
Its collections include textiles, copper dishes, traditional costumes, weaving tools, wooden furniture and household objects. The house itself, with its characteristic stone ground floor and wooden upper structure, is an excellent example of Berat’s architectural style.
Visitors can explore rooms arranged as they were historically—kitchens, guest rooms, workspaces—making the museum one of the most authentic cultural experiences in the city.
