The Historical Museum of Shkodër presents the archaeological, ethnographic and historical heritage of one of Albania’s oldest cities. Its collections include Illyrian artifacts, medieval objects, traditional clothing, folk items, Ottoman documents and objects from everyday life.
The museum is housed in a traditional Ottoman-style building and offers visitors an excellent overview of Shkodër’s cultural evolution from ancient times to the modern era. The exhibitions highlight the region’s role as a major artistic, religious and commercial center.
