The National Museum of Medieval Art in Korça holds the finest collection of medieval religious art in Albania, featuring more than 7,000 icons, wood carvings, silverwork and liturgical objects. Many works come from renowned Albanian iconographers such as Onufri, David Selenica and the Zografi Brothers.
The museum’s modern building provides excellent lighting and presentation, with thematic galleries showcasing Byzantine and post-Byzantine art, iconostases, and restored church elements. Interactive displays help explain techniques, symbolism and artistic evolution.
It is considered one of the most sophisticated cultural museums in the Balkans.
