The National Museum of Photography “Marubi” (Muzeu Marubi) holds Albania’s largest and most valuable photographic archive, containing more than 500,000 images dating from the 1850s to the present day. The museum tells the story of three generations of the Marubi photographic dynasty, who documented Albanian life, culture, portraits and historical events.
Its exhibitions combine original glass plates, vintage equipment, restored images and contemporary photography. The museum space is modern, interactive and beautifully designed, making it one of Albania’s top cultural attractions.
Located in the pedestrian zone of Shkodër, Marubi Museum is a must-visit for photography lovers and historians.
